The Tyneside-based show is one of the big guns in the arsenal of entertainment channel MTV, which separated from sister channel MTV Music in 2011. Focusing on pure entertainment, the channel boasts a host of popular shows, such as Ex on the Beach, Judge Geordie and Beauty School Cop Outs, as well as its own news programme, MTV News. Its technologically savvy audience watch content on a range of devices and the channel has had huge success in capturing the digital market: MTV’s Facebook page has 47 million “likes”!
